I really like the use of perspective and the feeling of the motion of the wave, as well as the isolation of the shell against the background and foreground. The shell's reflection against the water is subtle yet adds interest. The framing and composition is well done...capturing the rolling surf and beach landscape.
I only wish the shell iteslf was a little more sharply focused compared to the surrounding environment...but I am sure you had to position the camera quickly to get the shot and it was almost impossible to avoid any camera shake. Lightening the sky while toning down the the white wedge of beach behind the shell may also add impact
I'm truly honored you took the time to critique this. Thank you so much for your suggestions, I will be sure to keep them in mind the next time I head to the beach
you are welcome...this was the first full critique I have ever written having recently joined the Improve Your Photos group. The "appreciations" part are always a lot easier to express than the "suggestions" as I don't consider myself an authority on photography and digital editing. Looking forward to seeing more of your submissions!
